Previous Trips

2010
May and July: Split, Croatia.
September: Turgutreis, Turkey.
December: Phuket, Thailand.
All were a great success with good weather and crew members becoming good friends from the outset.
2011
February: bvi's, Caribbean was enjoyed enormously by previous UnknownSailors.
May: 2 separate weeks were very much enjoyed in Croatia.
June: Grenada and the Tobago Cays in the Caribbean.
July: with Turkish Airlines ex colleagues out of Gocek near Dalaman.
September: Gocek, Turkey was another good one with 2 new unknowns on board and the other crew members very much known as having come back for more several times!
November: Phuket, Thailand. Fantastic 10 days with yet another great crew.
2012
February: St.Martin in Caribbean. 
May: Turkey.
June: Grenada, Caribbean. All on board were repeat Unknowns (Knowns?) and great company. The Tobago Cays  reefs are a fantastic area to spend time. Look at the pictures and believe the colours of the sea. Pictures of 4 very happy people here.
October: Athens was a great choice of new destination.
November was the Whitsundays, Australia. Fantastic. 
2013 Grenada/ Vounaki, Greece (twice, it was so good!)/ bvi, Caribbean/ Gocek, Turkey/ Belize in November! Another great year with great people.
2014
April: brilliant trip in Turkey. 
June: Split, Croatia on a 53' monohull. All on board enjoying a return visit to unknownsailing.
July: Holiday of a lifetime?: Seychelles!
October: Phuket. 
2015
March: St Lucia and International Crew! My thanks to new American and British friends!
June: Gocek, Turkey; and also the Seychelles again! 
2016
January and March were super trips to Grenada. The first being on my new boat type, the magnificent Bali 4.3 Loft. October was a new destination of Mallorca. Excellent!
November, New Caledonia. WOW!
2017 

The first trip was EPIC thanks to the participants and scenery! French Polynesia.
The end of the year worked superbly. 

September was Trogir, Croatia. November, Martinique and St Lucia. 

December Langkawi, Malaysia and a bit of Thailand too. We all had a great time!
2018 

Five trips completed. Grenada in April and St.Martin/St.Barts/Saba in June. Montenegro in July, Croatia in October and Seychelles in November. Great fun with super people. 
2019
Phuket, mid Jan.    Superb. Will go back to the southern part of Phang Nga Bay. 
April, Grenada.      Great trip with all repeat Unknowns! Check out guitarist Mark and my daughter's singing here …

June Abaco, Bahamas.  A brilliant 2 boat/18 persons trip.Thanks to organiser and coSkipper Emilie!
Sept. Cyclades, Greece. Lovely mix of repeat unknowns returning for more fun and 5 newbies!
Dec. A new destination! La Paz, Baja Peninsula, Mexico. Fantastic area. Fabulous crew!
2020
Jan, Phuket. Annual event!
Feb, Martinique to Tobago Cays and back.

Dec: Antigua and Barbuda with son and daughter and pals.

2021

Dec: Exumas, Bahamas, with mainly American unknowns who are now friends.

2022

May: Cyclades, Greece with my son and his pals.

Sept: Corsica. Lovely mix of Brits and Australians on board.

Nov:  bvis, Caribbean. Lovely mix of Brit and Americans on board.

Dec:  more bvis fun with son and daughter and pals and much kite surfing involved.

2023

Late notice but I am available for an up to 2 week trip somewhere warm for the last part of January. Perhaps a few days into February. Email me now if that seems a possibility for you. unknownsailing@hotmail.co.uk

An additional and a one off is a Maldives trip! This is not an unknownsail but has been organised by an American friend who with many of the other participants has been on several unknownsails with me. It is a Dream Yacht operation too of 3 skippered 6 double cabin catamarans which also have chefs on board and with  meals and soft drinks included in the price of 2600USDpp or 5000USD per cabin and dates are 26 March to 

02 April on board. If time and funds allow it would be worth a few extra days shore based too? I am going as I know these good people and it is a once in a lifetime thing! Expensive, but Emilie has negotiated a discount down to this figure due booking 3 catamarans.  2 cabins have become vacant due dropouts.. Want in? If so I can put you in direct contact with her.
